Last week, at Expomin in Santiago, Chile, IM attended a special event celebrating the launch of ME Elecmetal’s ME FIT (Fully Integrated Technology) System. Aimed at boosting SAG and ball mill grinding performance, this is an optimised mill liner and grinding media system, bringing together consulting, products, services, people, logistics and manufacturing all in one.
ME Elecmetal integrates technology inside the mill by combining both mill liner and grinding media technology to work together inside the mill, while also providing consulting, people, service, logistic and manufacturing support.
VAES (Value-Added Engineering Services) supports the ME FIT System. This focuses on providing customers with value-added solutions for mineral processing, which positively impact six key operational areas:
- Increase in production
- Increased availability of equipment
- Cost effective
- Environmental and health protection
- Safety
- Training.
Improvement projects are initiated from a base line, i.e. the current situation. ME Elecmetal’s liner and grinding media specialists develop a comprehensive diagnosis of the milling process through a complete check list, even considering what happens upstream of the mill.
Then, together with the customers, they define relevant KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and what the objectives are to be achieved in each of them.
Finally, action plans are developed as needed to achieve the proposed benefits for each KPI. The benefits are documented in a Report of Benefits for customer knowledge and future reference.
