Posted on 1 Jul 2014

Today it is more important than ever to plan robustly and be able to react quickly to change. Minemax has announced some of its plans for product development. Since its introduction in February this year at SME, Minemax Planner for rapid high-level strategic planning has attracted a lot of attention. New users say that it is easy to use, is much faster than traditional tools and can handle very large models. Minemax has the following development planned:

  • Block attribute-based slope region definitions
  • More accurate modelling of geo-technical slope across region boundaries
  • Modelling risk
  • Enhanced scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Seamless integration with Minemax Scheduler.

Integrated waste dump schedule optimisation has recently been added to Minemax Scheduler. Many customers have now been trained in this new area and are developing integrated pit and waste dump optimal schedules. Some new developments in Minemax Scheduler on the horizon include:

  • Enhanced capex modelling for trucking, including multiple instances and decaying capacity
  • A new capex framework for supply chain that allows capex dependencies and mandatory minimum time lag between capex decisions
  • Batching optimisation scenarios
  • Seamless integration with Minemax Planner.

iGantt for activity-based production scheduling has the following new additions planned:

  • 64-bit deployment
  • New reporting options for resources
  • Extended api functions to expand integration options
  • A new licensing framework to enable flexible network licensing

Tempo for integrated mine planning has the following new additions planned:

  • Extended optimization modelling for resources and stockpiles
  • Detailed financial reporting
  • More options for automated precedence generation
  • 64-bit deployment.
