ME Elecmetal FIT System wins Most Innovative project award from parent group

ME Elecmetal has announced that its ME FIT System was awarded as the Most Innovative project of the ‘Innova Awards’ of the Claro Group. The ceremony was held at the Santa Rita Vineyard in Santiago, Chile, on January 27, 2015. The Innova Awards are an innovation initiative of the Claro Group in which all companies within the group participate, including: ME Elecmetal (steel foundries), Cristalerías de Chile (packaging), Viña Santa Rita (winery), Diario Financiero (business newspaper), Capital (business magazine) and ED (design magazine).

The award program started four years ago collecting and processing all innovations from the various companies within the group. It demonstrates the Claro Group’s recognition of the importance of innovation in today’s business environment. Jaime Claro, Chairman, presented the award for the Most Innovative project, which went to ME
Elecmetal’s ME FIT System. Claro stated that: “ME FIT System’s contribution to increasing productivity in the milling stage is a significant contribution to the mining industry”.

The award was received by Humberto Saavedra, Marketing Manager, and Nicolas Chacon, Head of the Total Solutions Unit from ME Elecmetal Chile. The Claro Group is a Chilean conglomerate of industrial companies involved in steel, packaging,
wine production and media, with sales over $ 1 billion.
