Guardvant, Inc, the mining technology company, has completed deployment of its OpGuard operator fatigue and alertness monitoring system at Goldcorp’s Los Filos mine in southern Mexico. Goldcorp is the world’s largest gold miner by current market capitalisation and “is focused on safety”, says Guardvant. Los Filos implemented OpGuard in the autumn of 2014 “and is realising the benefits of increased safety and reduced costs associated with fatigue-related incidents.”

Fatigue event data captured by OpGuard provides mine managers with verifiable information to be used as part of their fatigue risk management program.”
