The FieldSpec 4 Hi-Res NG provides enhanced spectral resolution necessary for accurate data analysis with the latest suite of next generation hyperspectral sensors. ASD, a PANalytical company and a global leader in high performance NIR analytical instrumentation and materials analysis solutions, has introduced this next generation of its FieldSpec line of spectroradiometers. The FieldSpec 4 Hi-Res NG provides enhanced spectral resolution to support accurate calibration and image classification analysis with the next generation high spectral resolution hyperspectral sensors.
“With the FieldSpec 4 Hi-Res NG, ASD is providing the ground-based spectral resolution necessary to take full advantage of the next generation high-resolution hyperspectral imaging systems such as AVRISNG and HySpex ODIN-1024,” said Brian Curtiss, CTO of ASD. “The instrument provides the required spectral resolution along with the level of spectral detail that is essential for sensor validation and calibration, as well as ground truthing and building spectral libraries.”
The FieldSpec 4 Hi-Res NG builds on ASD’s reputation by incorporating its fast spectrum integration speeds and graded index InGaAS photodiode SWIR technology, with new and enhanced next generation SWIR optics. The FieldSpec 4 Hi-Res NG provides unprecedented spectral resolution in the SWIR bands, high performance for rapid field measurement collection, and the smallest available spectral sampling interval with 1,875 measured wavelengths over the full 350 nm to 2,500 nm spectral range. The unit enables precise determination of absorption feature position and quantification of subtle wavelength shifts with spectra having the highest level of detail available in a field portable spectroradiometer.
