Ty-Max screens get tough

Posted on 24 Sep 2015

Ahead of the article on screening in the October issue of International Mining magazine, it’s worth noting W.S. Tyler’s  Ty-Max heavy-duty tensioned polyurethane screen sections for tough applications. These can “take on the harshest abrasive materials and screen them with ease,” the company says.

“While other polyurethane screens are injection moulded, Haver & Boecker uses a specially formulated cast polyurethane that results in a 20 to 30% longer wear life. Plus, Ty-Max’s tapered openings virtually eliminate pegging for even more efficient screening. Together, this means fewer screen change-outs, resulting in less downtime and greater productivity.”

Standard Ty-Max is a woven-wire grid welded to tensioning hooks, which eliminate the need for laborious deck conversions. Heavy-Duty Ty-Max works great under extreme pressure at the feed end. It takes on substantial layered phases or applications with extremely large material top sizes.

Dual Durometer is the way to go when you need openings greater than 50 mm in hard-hitting applications. The durable polyurethane easily absorbs the impact in wet or dry applications.
