Boart Longyear will debut the new MDR700 and showcase a range of other innovative drilling products at DrillFest 2015 this week in Western Australia. “Now more than ever, companies are increasing their focus on reducing costs and creating efficiencies in order to drive productivity and safety on the mine site,” said Mark Dogan, Boart Longyear’s Sales Director for Australia. “Innovations and technological developments in drill rigs and drilling products are increasingly being seen as the way forward.”
Boart Longyear’s product experts will be on hand during DrillFest 2015 to showcase a wide range of innovative drilling solutions, including:
- MDR700 Mobile Drill Rig: The MDR700 combines Boart Longyear’s best underground coring technology with advanced mobility, enhanced automation and engineered safety controls. The powerful MDR700’s wide drilling angles reduce rig moves, and quick-and-easy setup enhances ease of operation and maintenance
- Reverse Circulation (RC) Rods: Boart Longyear’s RC rods are manufactured from high-grade, quality steel, which ensures less wear and longer lifetime, straighter holes and easier assembling of inner rods in outer tubes. Drill rods are available with Metzke-type, Remet-type and Matrix-type threads
- BLH™ DTH Hammer Series: Boart Longyear’s BLH™ down-the-hole-hammer and bit line are designed to increase productivity in RC and conventional drilling. The series can be used for geotechnical drilling, quarrying, water well, geothermal and mineral exploration. BLH5 DTH hammers and bits will be on display at DrillFest 2015
DrillFest 2015 is held at Perth’s Ascot Raceway from October 21 to 22.
