Immersive Technologies partners with PwC Australia for IMARC

Immersive Technologies, a leader in advanced equipment simulators for mining, has partnered with PwC Australia at this year’s International Mining And Resources Conference (IMARC), taking place in Melbourne, November 10-12. Immersive Technologies will be launching its new Learning Systems Business Unit showcasing the latest virtual reality product WorksiteVR™ and interactive Machine Pre-Start Inspection tool. “We are excited about this partnership and the launch of our new Learning System Business Unit which includes tools and technologies complementary to our equipment simulators like Virtual Classroom, eLearning, Instructor Led Training, Worksite Walk-Around and SPOT,” says Wayde Salfinger, Executive Director – Marketing, Immersive Technologies. Immersive is also launching a dedicated Learning Systems business unit to service resource companies globally.  This new business unit provides customised learning technologies and solutions to drive improved safety, profitability and efficiency. The solutions blend virtual reality, visualisation, e-learning and desktop simulation. “We’ve developed a range of advanced learning systems that have emerged from our core simulation business over the last 3 or 4 years. These technologies have often been used independently of our simulators and have driven measurable improvements for our customers. As we developed more and more of these learning solutions for our 300+ global customers it became clear that these capabilities should stand on their own two feet. We therefore launched this business unit to better promote these solutions to the resources industry and solve a broader range of customer problems” says David Anderson, Executive Vice President – Sales and Support at Immersive Technologies. The new business unit will focus on the development and delivery of Pre-Start Inspection – using the latest touchscreen based technologies, trainees can inspect machine or plant components and instrumentation in life-like detail and can be assessed on understanding and accuracy.
