Emerging Markets strategist signs on as keynote speaker for Investing in African Mining Indaba

For this great event in Cape Town in February, Dr Harry G. Broadman, Director, Council on Global Enterprise and Emerging Markets and Senior Fellow, Foreign Policy Institute, Johns Hopkins University is the latest keynote to join the speaker line-up. Broadman’s presentation is entitled Putting opportunities and risks in the balance – enabling African mining investments to come out on top. This session will address Africa’s potential to be the platform from which the extractives industry changes the way it engages with development.

The number of mining company professionals registered for Mining Indaba doubled in just the past 5 weeks. More than 165 professionals from 116 mining and exploration companies are now registered to attend and meet with investors, government ministers and other service providers.

Since its inception 22 years ago, investment in the mining sector has been the primary emphasis of this event. In 2016 it will focus on the future of investing in mining with sessions such as Innovative Finance Solutions and Taking the Sustainability of Mining Beyond the Cycles, The leading investment firms will be in attendance to discuss investment opportunities in the region.
