Parker Hannifin further enhances IQAN electronic hydraulic control

Posted on 21 Jan 2016

The Electronic Controls Division of Parker Hannifin, the global supplier of motion and control technologies, will feature a number of innovative and exciting new products from its IQAN portfolio at Bauma 2016. Parker’s IQAN products already have an established reputation for enabling robust, reliable and simple electronic control of a wide range of heavy mobile equipment operating in the harshest mining and quarrying environments.

Following on from the launch of the new IQANdesign 4.0 software in December 2015, Parker will for the first time be exhibiting and demonstrating its new range of high performance real-time controllers designed “to safely and reliably fulfil the most demanding and stringent hydraulic control tasks whilst giving the utmost precision control.”

“Carefully engineered to have the smallest possible dimensions, the new family of three controllers will be easy to install and configure in even the most space constrained applications. With comprehensive and flexible connectivity and an increased number of high density I/Os, coupled with a design optimised to ease straightforward, cost-efficient scalability, the new controller family will be easy to tailor to both simple, low-cost, and complex high performance system applications.”

Another important new product on display will be a connectivity solution which significantly advances the ease and flexibility of data communications for hydraulic control on mobile equipment. “The new product concept will bring Internet of Things (IoT) type functionality to this challenging sector of the industrial market for the first time.”

Commenting on the upcoming appearance of Parker Hannifin at Bauma and the launch of new IQAN technologies and products, Johan Liden, Product Manager IQAN Electronics, Electronic Controls Division, Parker Hannifin said: “The launch of IQANDesign 4.0 in late 2015 was the first of a number of key announcements from Parker’s Electronic Controls Division that will provide focus at Bauma at 2016 and see a step change in the performance, functionality, ease-of-use and scalability of the precision control of hydraulic systems used in the most arduous and challenging environments on the planet. For those designing equipment for, or working in these types of applications our latest innovations will help make their work easier, faster, safer and more cost efficient.”
