CTE high lift platform helps excavator maintenance at Narva

Posted on 10 Feb 2016

Since January 2015, a truck-mounted platform of model CTE B-Lift 430 High Range has been working for Eesti Energia Kaevandused (the mining division of Eesti Energia) in Estonia at its oil shale mining operations. CTE finalised the sale with the cooperation of Latvian company HCT Automotive. The B-Lift 430 High Range is in the Narva mine, where the aerial platform contributes to the maintenance of the excavators used in the mine, particularly the large Russian made Uralmash draglines.

The platform reaches 42.5 m of working height, 30 m of outreach and 450 kg of capacity.  After the delivery, CTE supplied specific training for the machine operators. The machine has a telescopic boom (three elements of main boom and two extensions); an extra long jib with double extension and 180° swivelling angle; and a secondary jib with 180° swivelling angle. The hydraulic and electric supply is fitted on the cable carrier chain inside the main boom and jib and there is an automatic management system for the secondary jib movements.
