Posted on 10 Mar 2016

MICROMINE previewed the latest version of its exploration and mine design solution, Micromine 2016, at the PDAC Convention, held 6-9 March 2016, Toronto, Canada. Dallas Araneda, MICROMINE Canada Regional Manager, said: “MICROMINE has a strong presence throughout the Americas. PDAC is regarded as the largest annual mining event in the region and it provided MICROMINE the perfect opportunity to showcase its offerings to the North and South American mining communities.”

This was the 10th consecutive year that MICROMINE exhibited at PDAC. “Technical staff delivered Micromine 2016 pre-release demonstrations throughout the event and were available to discuss the application’s new and enhanced features with delegates. Micromine 2016 is due for release later in the year, which made this such a unique and exclusive opportunity.” Micromine is a leading solution for geological exploration, 3D mine modelling, resource estimation, pit optimisation and resource scheduling. “With the lack of attainable capital for projects still looming, Micromine offers some unique ways of getting software and services to your operation at low up-front costs to alleviate those bottom line concerns we are all experiencing.”

“Micromine provides explorers with an in-depth understanding of a project so prospective regions can be targeted more accurately, increasing the chances of a project’s success. Miners are provided easy-to-use modelling, estimation and design tools to simplify day-to-day design and production tasks.” Micromine 2016 contains a variety of new user benefits and improved, intuitive functionality associated with exploration, capability and performance, and mining. Highlights of the latest version include the Vizex Interactive Rotate Strings tool, the ability to drape an image or grid surface onto a Vizex grid surface and a new 3D PDF output function.

“Micromine 2016 was well-received by PDAC delegates. MICROMINE invests a significant percentage of annual revenue into research and development to ensure that our software solutions are constantly evolving and continue to exceed clients’ expectations. This investment is complimented by our incredibly robust Micromine Beta Testing Programme which is currently underway,” Araneda concluded.
