The Bureau du Cadastre Minier de Madagascar, also known as BCMM, will be in Cape Town, participating in the annual Mining Indaba taking place from February 6 to 9. This year the BCMM is launching the Mining Business Centre (MBC).
A dedicated hall offering 12,000 m of exhibition space, the MCB is exclusively dedicated to showcasing the full range and depth of Madagascar’s mineral wealth. The MBC is conveniently located in the island’s capital Antananarivo, and just a few kilometres from Ivato International Airport.
At the MBC, mining investors, operators and service providers will be able to connect, share and do business together -‐ ultimately unlocking the full potential of Madagascar’s nascent mining industry.
An ‘autonomous building’, it will make use of hybrid and solar energy, and treat its own drinking water. It will house banks, a map library, two restaurants, four VIP lounges for business meetings, a 1,000-seat amphitheatre and state of the art security to ensure exhibitors’ safety.
The MBC is expected to be operational in June 2016, and an international fair will be hosted at the MBC in November.
