First gold pour at Brucejack, Canada’s newest gold mine

Posted on 23 Jun 2017

Pretium Resources announces that the first gold has been poured at the Brucejack high-grade underground mine and that the flotation and gravity circuits are now operational. In addition, gold-silver flotation concentrate is being produced and bagged, with initial shipments scheduled.

Construction crews continue to be phased out as construction winds down and the operations team ramps up toward commercial production this year.

Brucejack is located in northwest British Columbia, approximately 65 km north of Stewart. The property consists of 122,133 ha and the primary focus is the Valley of the Kings deposit which is comprised of high-grade visible gold within a lower grade gold quartz stockwork system. A feasibility study completed in June 2014 updated in December 2016 outlined Proven and Probable mineral reserves in the Valley of the Kings of 8.1 Moz of gold (15.6 Mt grading 16.1 g/t Au).
