Ausdrill inks three major contract extensions

Diversified mining services company Ausdrill Ltd has announced that it has successfully secured the following contract extensions:

Ausdrill has been awarded a three year extension for the production drilling works at Evolution Mining’s Mungari project in Western Australia.

Ausdrill’s wholly owned subsidiary, African Mining Services (AMS) has received a provisional letter of award from AngloGold Ashanti for a further two-year contract extension at the Iduapriem gold mine, located in Ghana, where AMS has been providing a full suite of mining services since 2014. Final award is subject to finalisation and agreement on the documentation applicable to the extension. The contract extension is valued at approximately $108 million and will be serviced with existing fleet.

At Resolute Mining Syama, AMS’s existing contract has been extended through until May 2018. AMS will continue to provide a full suite of contract mining services including drilling, blasting and load and haul operations at the Syama project.

Ausdrill’s Managing Director, Ron Sayers, said: “We are very pleased to be able renew these contracts with our clients. It is testament to the experience and reputation that Ausdrill and AMS have built in Australia and Africa over the years. We look forward to continuing our working relationships with Evolution Mining, Resolute and AngloGold Ashanti into the future.”
