Nominations are being accepted for the best innovators in the mining industry to be inducted into the International Mining Technology Hall of Fame during the SME Annual Conference in Denver next year. The gala dinner at which inductees will be recognised will be on the evening of February 25 at The Brown Palace Hotel.
Nominations should elaborate on the achievement/development of that person (or a team of people, but all should be named) and what that innovation achieved in terms of increased productivity, safety, etc. There are 12 categories – bulk handling, comminution, concentration, environmental management and stewardship, exploration, metallurgy, mining software, safety, surface mining, underground development and underground production.
Send nominations to [email protected] before the end of July . All nominations, including those rolled over from previous years, will then be sent to the panel of judges around the world. They will deliberate and the results will be announced in late October.
See www.im-halloffame.com for bookings, sponsorship details, past inductees and more information.
