New BELAZ technical support centre for Ural region opens in Berezovsky

Global mining truck major BELAZ has opened a modern technical support centre in Russia’s Ural Federal District, the press service of the Belarusian Industry Ministry told Belarus news agency BelTA (see eng.belta.by). The center for repairing and maintaining BELAZ mining vehicles was solemnly opened in the city of Berezovsky, Sverdlovsk Oblast. The centre had been built by BelTransLogistik company, an official representative of BELAZ in the Ural Federal District. Belarussian Industry Minister Vitaly Vovk, BELAZ Director General Piotr Parkhomchik, Berezovsky Mayor Yevgeny Pistsov, and the BelTransLogistik top manager Mikhail Dubasov took part in the opening ceremony.
The technical support centre occupies 3,240 m2 and has been built from the ground up. The construction process began on 12 June 2017. The technical support centre is compliant with international standards: it is fitted with modern equipment and a warehouse of original spare parts. Pre-fabricated steel structures were used to build the centre thanks to their durability, safety, and installation convenience. The technical support centre represents a cluster of industrial premises and auxiliary ones and offers space for scheduled maintenance and capital repairs and space for storing the spare parts. Over 50 highly qualified specialists will be able to perform extensive repairs of any complexity for BELAZ haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 30-220 t.
The location for the technical support centre in the city of Berezovsky boasts convenient access to the ring road around Yekaterinburg, the capital city of Sverdlovsk Oblast. Thanks to this fact buyers of heavy BELAZ vehicles will be able to reach the technical support centre fast. It is particularly important in view of the discovery of new deposits of mineral resources in the Ural Federal District. The first official documents were signed as part of the opening ceremony: a vehicle maintenance contract with the copper miner OAO Svyatogor and a vehicle sales contract with the copper mining company AO Safyanovskaya Med.
