On the morning of October 23, an XDE120 unmanned mining truck jointly developed by Vipioneers (also called Huituo Intelligent Machine) and leading Chinese mining and construction equipment supplier XCMG was put into trial operation at the Wushan Copper and Molybdenum mine of CICC Group. This is another breakthrough in the field of non-ferrous minerals mining in China, which is often in very cold regions. It follows a Vipioneers unmanned transport system that recently went into commercial operation at Datang International’s Baoli coal mine.

CICC, China Railway 19th Bureau, XCMG and Vipioneers have now launched a specific cooperation around open pit mine unmanned transportation system for the Wushan copper-molybdenum mines. The four parties will jointly building a non-ferrous mines unmanned transportation system application demonstration base. It is expected that the unmanned test group operation of three unmanned mining trucks, one excavator along with auxiliary vehicles will be completed in June 2020.
