Record registration numbers for Hexagon’s mining seminar series

Hexagon last week wrapped up its HxGN LIVE Mining Series November 11-14, with more than 150 people attending the four day seminar at the company’s Mining headquarters in Tucson, Arizona. Besides being drawn to thought-leader keynotes and one-on-one sessions with subject matter experts, attendees could also choose from over 30 technical sessions presented by clients and Hexagon staff, covering topics for mine planning, operations, safety, survey and monitoring and more.

Recent product releases, including MinePlan Projector Evaluator for strategic planning and MineProtect Operator Alertness System-Light Vehicle, proved to be of particular interest, as were the event’s keynotes: Sustainability in Mining by Professor Priscilla Nelson of the Colorado School of Mining, and The Future of Mining by George Hemingway of Stratalis Consulting.

Last week’s event concluded a global series of free seminars, which began in Brisbane, Australia, August 19 and which were attended by more than 1,000 customers in nine cities. Hexagon’s Mining President, Josh Weiss described the 2019 edition of the long-running annual event as the best yet. “HxGN LIVE has always been about celebrating what we can learn and achieve together,” said Weiss. “This year’s record number of attendees confirms that our customers continue to find great value in the event.”
