DRA Global says it is nearing final commissioning of the PT Adaro Energy Tbk, Maruwai Coal Handling & Processing Plant (CHPP), in the remote Central Kalimantan region of Indonesia. DRA’s scope included project management, engineering and design, procurement, delivery, construction supervision and commissioning of the 600 t/h Coal Handling and 525 t/h Processing Plant CHPP facility. The CHPP is located at Lampunut.
Engineering and detailed design commenced in mid-2017 with construction kicking off in January 2019. The early phases of commissioning commenced in December 2019 with throughput acceptance testing successfully achieved in March 2020, if global events allow the performance testing is on track to be completed by end April 2020.
The project scope includes a 600 t/h ROM sizing circuit; including ROM bin, three stage crushing, and CPP feed surge bin. The coal is processed by a single 550t/h CPP module including; flotation and product filtration. The reject is discharged into a reject bin for truck loading and the product is stockpiled by a radial stacker.
Adaro MetCoal (a subsidiary of PT Adaro Energy Tbk group) refers to a group of seven companies holding Coal Contract of Work (CCoW) for seven concession areas in Central and East Kalimantan provinces.
