Phoenix lights up mobile mining again with the new Sturdilite® Master Series

Phoenix Lighting has recently introduced the Sturdilite® Master Series – an “impact-resistant, long-lasting, low-voltage LED floodlight specifically built for mobile mining equipment.” In an environment that doesn’t historically allow for fixture longevity, Phoenix believes it has rewritten the industry standards by building and testing this fixture for every extreme. The Master Series is IK10 rated and features a super heavy-duty harp to withstand significant and continuous shock and vibration. “The durable yet compact design also features a dirt, dust, and debris resistant lens coating.”

The Master Series comes in two voltage options, 12-48V and 24-48V, and two versions – 24W and 48W that produces up to 2.500 and 5,000 lumens, respectively. The Master Series uses Osram LEDs and has a 5000K colour temperature.

The Master Series has three application-specific beam patterns; spot, flood, and elliptical, to optimise light output and distribution for all equipment. An additional key feature includes the aiming indicators on the harp that ensure easy installation and replication of the beam angles.

A conformal coated circuit board ensures the fixture will withstand the rigours of the mining environment. The premium line of LED fixtures includes high-temperature polycarbonate lens and tempered glass lens options. A strategically-placed breather valve allows vapour and pressure to escape, thus optimising performance and lifetime of the fixture. “The Master Series is extremely versatile and can be used with any direct current power source. The fixture can perform in a broad temperature range of -40°C to +65°C, has a 50,000 hour rated life and 3-year warranty.”
