XCMG has been unveiling a number of products with relevance for the mining industry this week at Bauma China in Shanghai. They include the what it says is the first Chinese intelligent & remote control three-boom drilling jumbo for mining & tunnelling, the XTZ3200 with “remote depth vision system”; the company’s largest wheel loader so far, the 35 t payload electric drive XC9350; and what is says is one of the largest mining & tunnelling roadheaders ever built, the XTR8/500.
Not much more information has yet been given on the drill jumbo or roadheader but the company did say that the XTZ3200 can produce tunnel sections of 8.9 m by 10.2 m and has been used on the Sichuan-Tibet railway tunnels while the XTR8/500 can handle a maximum cutting rock hardness of 150 MPa.
More detail has been given on the XC9350 which XCMG says is the “first domestic electric drive wheel loader with the largest tonnage, energy recovery, energy saving and high efficiency.” The XC9350 weighs 150 t with an 18 m3 bucket and the electric drive loader is described as the best choice for supporting 130-200 t mining trucks, mainly suitable for open-pit mining where there is short-distance transportation for loading. It has an engine with 970 kW of power with dimensions 17.26 m x 5.7 m x 6.5 m.
“Key components have undergone rigorous market tests to achieve a long service life, low maintenance costs and high reliability. It has an electronically controlled positive flow hydraulic system, energy-saving technology, load-sensing, and an electronically controlled steering & handling system.”
Its AC-DC-AC high-voltage electric drive system it says offers high reliability, advanced technology, reliable operation and convenient maintenance. An integrated electro-hydraulic brake system can effectively reduce mechanical braking wear. “The electric control positive flow working hydraulic system, supplemented by constant power control technology, improves energy saving, allows for quick machine response and manoeuverability of the hydraulic system brining high operational efficiency of the loader.” The ergonomically-designed ROPS & FOPS cab conforms to ISO standards and safe and comfortable.
