China’s NHL growing in Russian market with two NTE200 electric drive trucks set for Russian coal miner Stroyservis in Kemerovo

Following a successful fleet delivery of six NTE200 186 t class electric drive trucks by Inner Mongolia, China based NHL (Inner Mongolia North Hauler Joint Stock Co Ltd) in 2018/2019 to mining contractor Modern Mining Technologies for use at a coal mining customer site in Neryungri, Yakutia, another two NTE200 trucks are now set to be shipped to coal mining company Stroyservis, also based in Kemerovo region, the hub of Russia’s coal mining production.

The trucks were supplied by Mining Eurasia LLC, the exclusive distributor of NHL rigid trucks and Terex articulated dump trucks in the Russian Federation. NHL told IM it sees potential for more NTE series orders in the country. The AC drive NTE200 has a Cummins K2000E engine and Wabtec 5GTA22B drive system. The six trucks in Yakutia are working with Komatsu PC4000 hydraulic shovels.

Elsewhere in NHL’s export markets, its fleet of seven 236 t class NTE240 AC drive trucks working for Zijin Mining’s Serbia Zijin Copper mine in Serbia are working well and Zijin has ordered another four units which will bring the total to 11. And the large fleet set for Yancoal in Australia – 28 330 t NTE360A trucks – has begun shipping in April 2021.
