Artemis Gold Inc has announced that Sedgman Canada Ltd has executed an agreement with Metso Outotec Canada Inc., a subsidiary of Metso Outotec Corporation, to secure supply and delivery of crushing and grinding equipment for the company’s Blackwater Gold Project in Central British Columbia.

The agreement was executed as part of an interim services agreement with Sedgman announced in May 2022. The cost of the crushing and grinding equipment is in line with the $312 million EPC price awarded to Sedgman in May 2022.

Jeremy Langford, Artemis Gold COO commented: “Securing the pricing and delivery schedule for the long-lead time crushing and grinding equipment with Metso Outotec is another key derisking catalyst for the Blackwater Project. The delivery of this equipment is consistent with the development schedule targeting commissioning and first gold pour at Blackwater in H1 2024.The execution of this agreement also provides detailed equipment specifications, allowing Artemis and Sedgman to further advance detailed engineering of the process plant in advance of the start of major works.”
