The manufacturing business headquarters of the company is based in Kolkata, India, while the global business is managed through Gainwell Engineering Global Pte Ltd in Singapore. Gainwell Engineering operates through an expanding global network of sales offices, parts warehouses and service rebuild centres in key mining regions around the world which it says extend exceptional value to all its customers.

Our new facilities at Fayette County, West Virginia, USA and Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia will support the whole ecosystem of energy security and will help us to serve our global customers and future markets at a rapid pace. We will be extending aftermarket spare parts supply and rendering service support to the existing active population of licensed Caterpillar Room & Pillar Equipment and Highwall Miner customers from these two offices.”
He adds that Gainwell’s global offices across India, Singapore, Australia and USA will enable it to create a cohesive service network and further strengthen our service capabilities in these regions.
In March 2022, coal miner Vitrinite signed a contract for Gainwell to supply it with a highwall miner to support the Vulcan Mine in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. Vitrinite is the first buyer of Gainwell’s GHWM300M outside India. In February 2022, Gainwell built on its established Highwall Miner business when it signed a technology licensing agreement for underground mining equipment with Caterpillar, enabling Gainwell Engineering to manufacture medium & high seam underground room & pillar equipment to support the growing coal production in India and other countries around the world.
