The new Mobilaris Companion tag can be used to pinpoint the position of people, vehicles, and moving assets. In the tunnel, positioning is based on low-energy Bluetooth (BLE) connected to 5G, Wi-Fi or LTE networks, and outdoors via GPS. Every tag is connected to the system for visualisation and support. With the compatibility to 5G and Ultra-Wide Band, everything is faster and more precise than ever.

Bluetooth beacons placed in the tunnel act as reference points to provide positioning data to the tags. In comparison to expanding the existing network infrastructure, BLE beacons are a cost-efficient solution and easy to install needing no power or connection. The low energy consumption of beacons also supports cost savings and an overall smaller carbon footprint.
