Posted on 4 Apr 2023

ASX-listed DXN Ltd has signed a A$1 million contract with Anglo American for fabrication and supply of a modular data centre – specifically the deal is with Anglo Coal (Capcoal Management) Pty Ltd as the data centre will be deployed at the Capcoal mining complex near Middlemount, in Central Queensland’s Bowen Basin which produces quality hard coking coal for export steel markets.

DXN CEO Shalini Lagrutta said: “DXN has developed a standard design for Anglo American’s Australian modular data centre which is fit for purpose for their mining site requirements. We received a design order at the end of last year for this purpose and the design order has now eventuated into the first deployment for Anglo American utilising the pre-approved standardised design. DXN’s team are thrilled to be involved in Anglo American’s deployment in the Capcoal mining complex in Queensland.”

Expected delivery of the solution is by the September 2023 quarter and there is a separate option for five years of maintenance. In mining DXN’s existing clients include Newcrest’s Cadia gold mining complex in NSW as well as Resolute Mining for its Syama gold mine in Mali
