Posted on 15 Feb 2024

Women in Mining UK (WIM UK) has announced that nominations for the sixth edition of its “100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining” (WIM100) are open.

Everyone is welcome to nominate the inspirational women in mining they may work with or know through the nominations form on the WIM100 page. Nominations close on March 17, 2024.

Dr. Stacy Hope, WIM UK Managing Director, said: “We started the WIM100 just over a decade ago, and since then have seen countless incredible and inspiring women be celebrated for their achievements in the mining sector. However, we still must face the fact that in the last 10 years, while female representation in the sector has certainly improved, significant challenges still remain. This is why initiatives like the WIM100 are so important. It helps to shine a spotlight on women who are driving change and making a significant impact across the world. It also helps to profile the female role models who will help inspire a new generation of women to join the industry. I, therefore, encourage you all to get nominating!”

What makes a WIM100 woman?
