GR Engineering Services says it has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with Greenstone Resources (WA) Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vault Minerals Limited, for the Stage 1 Upgrade for the King of the Hill Operations, in Western Australia.
The project is located approximately 900 km northeast of Perth and 25 km north of Leonora within the Goldfieds Region.
The contract value is A$75.1 million ($47 million) including provisional sums. The project scope comprises the design, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of the upgrade to the King of the Hills dry processing plant and the wet processing plant. Work will commence immediately.
Vault Minerals reported today in its December quarter update that board approval for the internally funded ~A$80 million investment to expand the King of Hills processing facility to 6 Mt/y had been received. The expansion will deliver increased throughput capacity, improve reliability to further lower unit costs and increase the operational competitiveness of the modern King
of the Hills processing facility, it added.
Tony Patrizi, Managing Director of GR Engineering, said: “We are pleased to have been engaged by Vault to play an important role in upgrading their King of the Hills processing facility. Our clients are increasingly seeking certainty and a track record of performance. GR Engineering has been able to demonstrate this to Vault, including by reference to its proven track record of successfully delivering project outcomes in the Western Australian gold sector.”
