Dingo Software to accelerate asset health maintenance, reliability ‘mission’ with Riverside investment

Posted on 25 Jun 2025

Dingo Software, a company focused on providing predictive maintenance solutions for the mining industry, has announced that The Riverside Company, a global private investment firm, has acquired a majority stake in the business.

The acquisition marks a significant strategic milestone for Dingo as it accelerates its mission to revolutionise asset health maintenance and reliability by leveraging big data to deliver tangible value, the company says. Under Riverside’s ownership, Dingo will fast-track investments in AI, global sales and customer success will expand, while the company continues to operate independently with its current leadership and team.

“Dingo is thrilled to have Riverside as a strategic partner for our next phase of growth,” Charlie Forrest, CEO of Dingo, said. “Their alignment with our vision to fast-track AI, expand global sales and invest in customer success made them the ideal choice. Thanks to focused dedication and hard work, the team has positioned Dingo to fully leverage this investment. We are excited about the future opportunities and proud to welcome Riverside to the Dingo Pack.”

Since its founding in 1991, Dingo says it has been a leading predictive maintenance partner for mining operators seeking to reduce major component failures, improve equipment reliability, boost production and lower maintenance costs. Its software platform Trakka® and expert support services deliver measurable value to a global portfolio of industrial customers operating in some of the world’s most remote and demanding environments, according to the company.

“This is not just an acquisition – it’s an ignition point,” Craig Banks, COO of Dingo, said. “We’re entering a new phase where human-in-the-loop intuition and AI work in harmony. We’ve already begun deploying AI agents to harness insight from our extensive contextual asset health data. With Riverside now onboard, we’re positioned to scale rapidly into more autonomous maintenance decision-making and predictive analytics. Our roadmap is bold, pragmatic, and already in motion. Riverside shares our vision and is investing with conviction to help us accelerate progress for the betterment of mining operations globally.”
