Posted on 8 Jun 2026

On June 1, Shanghai Boonray Intelligent Technology signed a tripartite strategic cooperation agreement with Zhongguancun Technology Leasing and Iridium Molybdenum Technology. This partnership focuses on the need for intelligent and electric transformation in scenarios such as open-pit mines, with a focus on the development of new energy intelligent equipment.

The establishment of comprehensive and deep collaboration in areas such as large-scale autonomous driving it says aims to create a new integrated industry model featuring large-scale equipment, intelligent systems, new energy and industrial finance.

Boonray adds: “This represents a significant milestone in the deepening of ecological industry collaboration and the implementation of a profound integration of industry and finance among the three parties.”

Boonray Technology, as a leading domestic company in the field of electric and autonomous unmanned mining trucks, integrates technology research and development, vehicle manufacturing, and battery swapping services.” It says it has already delivered a large number of various types of unmanned mining trucks, and is one of the largest enterprises in China when it comes to the delivery of electric and autonomous mining vehicles.

Zhongguancun Science and Technology Leasing is a subsidiary of Zhongguancun Development Group. Over the years, it has been deeply involved in providing financial and operational services to technology companies, leveraging a comprehensive model that integrates leasing + investment + services to significantly empower the industrial technology industry.

Iridium Molybdenum Technology, full name Xiamen Yimu lntelligence Technology Co Ltd, which also uses the slogan EASYMOVE, focuses on the forward-looking research and production of large-scale intelligent new energy mining vehicles. Leveraging a comprehensive domestic supply chain system, the company aims to create high-performance, high-quality engineering equipment products. In this partnership, the three companies have each secured a key position within the intelligent mining industry’s value chain, they say creating a complete closed-loop system. Boonray Technology has made significant strides in the fields of autonomous mining and electrification. Its ability to implement scenarios and achieve scalability it says is among the top in the industry.

Zhongguancun Science and Technology Leasing leverages its deep industry insights and a well-developed industry-finance ecosystem “to fully realise the core values of industry empowerment and resource connection.”

The three parties say they will deeply integrate intelligent new energy vehicle platforms and comprehensive autonomous driving solutions, and actively explore innovative business models. “Through joint technology development, collaborative market expansion, and the creation of benchmark application scenarios, we will work together to develop a state-of-the-art, secure, and stable intelligent mining solution, thereby creating diverse incremental value for end customers.”

This strategic cooperation they say will help to break down the barriers across the entire chain in terms of advanced equipment development, large-scale scenario implementation, and comprehensive industry support “forming a collaborative force for industrial development that generates multiple times the value.” Boonray Technology will continue to leverage its core strengths in the areas of autonomous mining and electrification, working together with top partners in the industry to jointly advance China’s transition to an intelligent and green mining sector into a new phase.

Boonray recently showcased its Dianniu cabless electric mining truck in April 2026 at the Cangnan Mining Machinery Exhibition. The truck is powered by a proprietary, full-stack autonomous driving system. Boonray: “By eliminating the traditional cab design, this product significantly enhances operational safety within mining zones while simultaneously reducing labour costs and energy consumption. Suited for efficient material transport across a wide range of complex operating environments, it marks a substantial step forward in the evolution of mining transport systems toward becoming unmanned, electrified, and intelligent.”
