EPC Groupe subsidiary, EPC Mineex Sénégal, has won a major contract with Boto SA (part of Managem Group), the company operating the Boto gold mine in Senegal. Valued at approximately €23 million over a three-year period, the contract entails the deployment of two Mobile Explosives Manufacturing Units (MEMUs) and the supply of explosives and associated blasting accessories.
EPC Mineex Sénégal will also provide technical blasting services and digital solutions from the Expertir® ecosystem, developed by EPC Groupe’s subsidiary, Global Technical Solutions (GTS).
Located in the Kédougou region of eastern Senegal, the Boto mine is one of West Africa’s most pivotal gold projects. Entering production in 2025, the project represents an investment of over €350 million and targets an annual output of approximately 160,000 oz of gold, with estimated reserves of 1.8 Moz and a projected 15-year lifespan.
Operated as an open-pit mine, it ranks among the most significant mining investments made in Senegal in recent years. Under this contract, EPC Mineex Sénégal will support Boto SA in optimising its drilling and blasting operations by providing integrated industrial solutions that combine operational performance, safety, technological innovation, and service excellence.
