Metso has invested in a new screen manufacturing centre in Romania as it looks to strengthen its regional service and supply capabilities

The new manufacturing centre in Oradea, Romania will enable the growth of the overall screening business by strengthening capabilities in capital screening equipment, and the supply of spare and wear parts including rubber screening media, it says. It will both increase capacity and enhance customer proximity and service capabilities for customers located in Europe, Central East Asia and the Middle East, Metso said.

The site is expected to employ 70–80 people by the end of 2026.

“This investment is a continuation of our regional strategy implementation,” Jouni Mähönen, Vice President of the Screening business line, said. “A new centre in Romania will improve responsiveness to meet customer needs, answer to growing demand in growth markets and strengthen our ability to deliver tailored screening solutions efficiently.”

The new centre will improve customer proximity and service levels for customers in regions where Metso is well established but also sees a growing demand for the screening solutions and services in both the minerals and the aggregates segments.

The Oradea facility in Romania will complement Metso’s existing stationary screen equipment production footprint in France, Brazil, India, South Africa and China.
