tucson-img2.jpgWith new MineSight products to preview, Mintec says it has been honing the latest version of its mine planning and modeling software package for MINExpo. It expects the new MineSight Performance Manager to garner particular interest, especially from mines looking for deeper, more meaningful analysis of their operational data. “Mines today are dealing with more data than ever,” says Mintec President, John Davies. “Where our MineSight Axis tool already offers business intelligence, the MineSight Performance Manager will provide mining business analytics.”Mintec is also excited about sharing details of MineSight Stope and MineSight Implicit Modeling. “MineSight’s new Implicit Modeling utility will significantly shorten the time it takes to build geological models,” says Davies. “It’s quick, repeatable, and builds multiple models with rapid updates.”

Planners seeking flexibility and control in the design and conceptual-level scheduling of underground stope mining will find their lives made easier, too.

“MineSight Stope will be a significant addition to MineSight’s underground engineering toolset,” says Davies. “It will provide a tool for quick preliminary evaluation of underground mining, using only block model information. The results can be used directly or as guidelines for more detailed design and evaluation.”

Mintec will also be unveiling the Mintec Series – white papers authored by the company’s subject matter experts on MineSight’s unique approach to modeling, short-term planning, long-term planning, underground, service, and operations.
