Pioneer Pump continues to expand its Pioneer Prime range with the launch of two extreme performance pumps – PP3030S24 and PP108C24 – and one high pressure, high-head pump – PP86S20 – each one offering market-leading capabilities, according to the company. With a best efficiency operating point of 30,000 gpm (7,000 m³/hr) at 70 ft head (20 m) and 600 hp (475 kW), the new mass flow 30 in (750mm) PP3030S24 pump offers advanced performances to contractors operating in the water management and dredging industry. Capable of reaching heads of up to 126 ft (38 m), this low head, mass flow pump is described as ideal for applications such as dredging water management, tailing pond dredging, land reclamation, and cooling water intake pumping.
Serving the extensive mine and quarry dewatering applications, the new PP108C24 design delivers both greater flows and greater heads than its PP108C18 predecessor, without reducing the available suction lift. Powered by a Cat C27, 750 hp engine, this 10 in (250 mm) x 8 in (200 mm) extreme flow and high head solution, with its 3,750 gpm (850 m³/hr) at 575 ft (175 m) head UltraPrime priming system, is designed to minimise required pumping time without having to resort to multi-stage pumping.
Last to be launched is Pioneer’s 8 in x 6 in ductile iron pump with a 20 in standard CA6NM solids-handling impeller, designed to run at a maximum efficiency of 4,250 gpm (965 m³/hr) and a 600 ft (183 m) head whilst still passing a 3 in (76 mm) solid. Ideal for mine dewatering, slurry and wastewater applications, this latest vacuum-assisted, self-priming pump is also available in an optional 27% chrome iron construction, enabling it to carry slurries and abrasive materials with minimal degradation. This keeps maintenance costs to a minimum and the pump’s longevity to a maximum.
Paul Skippins, Project Manager at Pioneer Pump for the high flow 30 in pump in Europe, stated: “Our entire philosophy is to design and build these new ranges of pumps in order to surpass our customers’ expectations.” He continues: “Challenges like these keep our company growing and our product range ahead of the competition. These last two years, we have come up with a solution that is technically advanced and economically viable, ensuring that the project runs on time and on budget for our customers.”
