DF Ecology and Hamamcıoğlu fight coal dust in turkey

df.jpgHamamcıoğlu and DF Ecology engineers are undertaking a series of demonstrations with their Dust-fighter range of dust suppression products. These dust control presentations are for Turkish construction and demolition contractors, as well as those dealing in coal stocking. Working alongside its Turkish distributor, Hamamcıoğlu Müesseseleri Türk Ticaret, DF Ecology, the Italian producer of environmentally focussed equipment, responded to an important piece of environmental legislation brought in by the Turkish Government. Because of Turkey’s reliance on imported coal for heating, the government recently approved a new law that restricts all coal imports, prior to distribution, into a designated area situated near the capital, Istanbul. The area is required, by law, to keep any coal dust from entering the atmosphere. This has proven to be a challenge as the coal is managed, stored and distributed throughout the country from this central base.

Already in use around the world, Dust-fighters are self-contained dust suppression units, producing a fine mist of water through a series of high-pressure jets. The mist is propelled onto the site by a powerful fan, covering a wide area in just a few moments rendering the area free from unhealthy and hazardous material. Power is provided from either an on-board, super-silenced generator or mains power and most Dust-fighters can be fitted onto a road-tow trailer.
