Alex Stewart, the international inspection, analysis and assaying group, has announced its full rebrand to Stewart Group. This change, according to the company, marks a major point in its strategic direction, and is a key indicator of the company’s objectives. The core activities of Alex Stewart include the inspection and analysis of metals, minerals, ores, solid fuels and recycling scrap, as well as the provision of geochemical services to the mining and exploration industry. These services will now continue under the name Stewart Group.
Stewart Group has 28 group companies across the globe, with its head office situated on Merseyside, England. Following a private equity backed management buyout in 2006 led by John Notman-Watt, the company has been investing heavily in infrastructure, enhancing customer service and expanding through acquisition. It believes that it has advanced technology at its facilities and is considered one of the foremost umpire laboratories in the world.
Managing Director of the Stewart Group, John Notman-Watt comments: “Following three years and a lot of hard work from all involved, the company is in excellent health as an independent and impartial service provider. This is a great time to break from the past and begin the next stage of Stewart Group’s growth and development. We want to develop our brand and we are well on the way to being recognised globally as a ‘full range service provider ‘ for efficient and reliable inspection and analysis requirements, providing bespoke solutions for our growing client base, and this will be a key focus for us going forward.”
