Name change for Petrologic as DMT strengthens corporate brand

Posted on 3 Jan 2013

DMT, the Natural Resources Division of the TÜV NORD Group, is implementing a uniform branding policy for its subsidiaries around the world. As part of the measures to strengthen the DMT brand, Petrologic Geophysical Services has been renamed DMT Petrologic. Petrologic is well established in the international market for seismic special processing and is well known for its modern services. “Our company and staff will continue to be the reliable business partner our customers know”, said Gerd Rybarczyk, Managing Director.

DMT has been active in the field of natural resources exploration ever since Ludger Mintrop developed the seismic exploration method over 100 years ago. The company is still at the forefront today, offering a wide portfolio of innovative solutions to suit the current market. By integrating DMT Petrologic into the exploration activities of DMT, the company is able to offer clients added competence and complete solution packages for geo-exploration and thereby provide greater planning reliability and effectiveness.

DMT, headquartered in Essen, Germany, is an independent engineering and consulting company, active internationally. The firm’s activities focus on the fields of natural resources exploration, mining and coke-making technology, construction and infrastructure projects, safety in buildings, product testing and measurement instrumentation in industrial settings.

Using methods and techniques drawn from the fields of geology and hydrogeology, geophysics, geodetics and geotechnology, the Exploration & Geosurvey Division supplies the data needed to achieve planning reliability for the extraction of natural resources. The work, concentrated in a single company and reaching all around the world, begins with planning, includes surveying and interpretation and extends to modelling and the final evaluation. The division also develops, operates and markets its own geosurveying systems.
