Marland Alignment Lasers up for sale

Marland Alignment Lasers President, Chris Armstrong, is trying to find a suitable buyer for the 30 year old business. Started in 1979, due to the need for a laser to save survey time on a remote tunnelling project, the company’s most recent addition is the long distance Marland Model 500 ‘mine-laser’. As with its predecessors, the Marland Model 400 (1989) & 400D (1996) ‘mine-lasers’, the 500 is, according to the company, the only long distance alignment laser in the world suitable for guiding raises. Sold all around the world, including Canada, Indonesia and Mongolia, the product has been well received.

The company has also sold (since 1991) more than 300 of its dual diode ‘drill-laser’ family of instruments for lining up blasthole and diamond drills. Its ‘layout-laser’ and ‘sharp-survey’ systems have been popular with surveyors in Canada.
