Golder and Geosoft to collaborate on data management solutions

Posted on 19 Mar 2009

Geosoft, a world leader in software and solutions for earth exploration, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Golder Associates, a global group of consulting companies specializing in ground engineering and environmental services. This focuses on the two working together to deliver data management solutions based on Geosoft DAP server technology. “Geosoft has developed technologies for data discovery and management that we believe will benefit existing and potential Golder clients in all of our market sectors,” said John Bacon, IM Development Group Leader at Golder Associates.

“The partnering of Golder’s consulting and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) expertise with Geosoft’s Exploration Information Management Solutions will allow organisations to better leverage their data assets, while utilising their investment in people, processes and exploration data,” said Steve Randall, Industry Market Manager at Geosoft.

Geosoft DAP server technology provides a secure, connected and collaborative environment that forms the core of Geosoft’s Exploration Information Management Solutions (EIMS). Geosoft DAP server technology provides services to catalogue, manage, deliver and visualise large, spatial earth data sets while solving problems associated with distributing large volumes of data. As middleware technology, it is designed to deal with the complex issues of security, stability, usability and reliability as integral parts within an Enterprise framework.
