White papers available from Geovariances on Uniform Conditioning and Drill Hole Spacing Analysis

Posted on 12 Mar 2013

On Geovariances website there are two White Papers aimed at helping estimate resources: http://www.geovariances.com/en/resources-white-papers-ar967. They are Localised Multivariate Uniform Conditioning – estimating recoverable resources at mining unit scale – and Drill Hole Spacing Analysis – geostatistical assessment of borehole spacing relative to resource confidence.

Estimating tonnage and grade, from sparse data, at a mining scale resolution is a challenge. Uniform Conditioning (UC), provides a powerful approach to estimating recoverable resources at a local scale, i.e. predicting the local distributions of SMUs (selective mining units) within larger panels conditional to neighbouring information. Through Geovariances long-lasting experience in applying UC (and now LMUC), learn how LMUC helps you optimise the accuracy of your predicted recoverable resource estimates and access the information you have available regarding recoveries predicted at the mining (SMU) scale.

Not all coal seams and quality variables have the same continuity or variability, so investigating drill hole spacing for your data makes sense. Through Geovariances wide experience in applying Drill Hole Spacing Analysis (DHSA) analysis a range of geological settings, learn how DHSA helps you to obtain the optimal drill spacing information to support resource classification decisions.
