Germany’s RAG Mining Solutions GmbH previously sold the entire suite of processing machinery from the preparation plant at the disused Saar mine in Saarlouis, Germany to a Croatian customer, and disassembly work started at the end of February 2013. In addition, in 2011, the preparation plant at the Ost mine was sold to a Chinese customer and also disassembled. Most recently, the Lippe mine’s preparation plant was sold to another Chinese customer and the disassembly work there will start in the course of 2013.

The sale of the Saar mine plant came less than a year after the closure of the mine. The Croatian customer Rasko d.o.o. intends to sell the plants to various end customers later. Included in the package are all plant components such as screening plants, crushers, jiggers, pumps, switchgears/controls as well as cables and lines. The disassembly and dismantling for removal will take place in a planned period of ten months. A total of about 22 skilled workers employed by the purchaser will be entrusted with these jobs
