Australian mining technology conference to feature more than 25 papers

Registration is now open for the 2009 CRCMining Australian Mining Technology Conference, to be held at the University of Queensland’s Business School Downtown on October 27-28, 2009. The conference will feature more than 25 local, national and international papers on a variety of topics, including mining methods, operational decision support, mine planning and scheduling, and automated mining technologies.

Papers for the conference include:

  • Graham Lumley – GBI Mining Intelligence, ‘Is Technology Helping Get Mine Plans Right?
  • Micah Nehring – University of Queensland, ‘Short and Long Term Production Schedule Optimisation in Underground Mining Using Mathematical Programming
