McLanahan Corp expands into India and surrounding markets

In an effort to increase support of its custom engineered process solutions to customers in its global markets, McLanahan Corp has formed an overseas joint venture. McLanahan joins Indian company NAWA Engineers and Consultants in forming the joint venture company McLanahan NAWA Engineers. McLanahan will provide intellectual property for McLanahan NAWA Engineers and NAWA will provide sales, manufacturing and procurement. McLanahan NAWA Engineers will be available to customers in the countries of India, Pakistan, Nepal, Burma, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.

Representing McLanahan’s interest in the company will be Prabudha (Ron) Thakurta, who will serve as Director of McLanahan NAWA Engineers Private. He will spend significant amounts of time in India and work closely with customers for all of their processing needs. McLanahan’s partner, NAWA Engineers, is a third generation family-owned business based in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. NAWA has a staff of 260 with two offices and three manufacturing facilities in and around Hyderabad. They primarily serve the aggregate industry with their core products including jaw crushers, cone crushers, vertical shaft impact crushers, vibrating screens and screw classifiers. Adding McLanahan equipment to the offerings through the JV company will allow NAWA to expand into the coal market and provide opportunities for growth in the aggregate industry.

McLanahan provides custom engineered processing solutions for a variety of applications including the mineral and aggregate industries. McLanahan also manufactures polymer wear parts and provides complete foundry and machining services. Founded in 1835, McLanahan is now in its sixth generation of family ownership and operation. Headquartered in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, McLanahan has locations throughout the US, the UK and Australia.
