ASD Inc, the PANalytical company and supplier of high-performance NIR analytical instrumentation and material analysis solutions, has announced an expansion in China’s mining market with the addition of Beijing Yudecheng Technology to its reseller network. Yudecheng joins ASD’s reseller network to support the TerraSpec mineral analyser, FieldSpec portable spectroradiometer and LabSpec lab analyser lines of instrumentation.

The company stated that the partnership “will expand ASD’s presence in the mining and industrial markets of the People’s Republic of China and provide expanded capabilities for local mining operators and exploration geologists through sales of the following NIR analytical instruments.” These include TerraSpec mineral analysers, which allow for portable, rapid and non-destructive analysis of minerals in the lab or the field; FieldSpec portable spectroradiometers for fast, precise and portable spectroradiometers for a wide range of applications; and LabSpec lab analysers, which offer research-grade instrument performance in a rugged package suitable for transport to the sample location. “Yudecheng’s invaluable experience in the mineral exploration and mining industry and their previous success marketing portable instrumentation are the main reasons we chose to pursue this partnership,” said Michael Lands, Vice President of sales and marketing, NIR. “We’re both focused on providing cost-effective solutions that will greatly improve our customers’ mineral exploration and mining production efficiency.”
