Hawk, a leading global provider of level, positioning and flow measurement technology has introduced the Sultan 234, which can be powered using loop power (two-wire), three-, or four-wire sources. It does not matter which power source you choose. the Sultan Acoustic wave can measure in difficult environments. These powerful and effective instruments emit an acoustic wave pulse, which is then reflected from the surface of the material being measured.
The reflected signal is processed using specially developed software to enhance the correct signal and reject false or spurious echoes. The measured signal is temperature compensated to provide maximum accuracy to the outputs and display. Hawk says “this principle of operation elevated the Sultan range to one of the most powerful level measurement systems on the market. This is a high-power device with long-range capability even on two-wire loop power. There is no direct contact with the media, which can extend up to 80 m from the sensor. The combination of low frequency, high power and signal processing (Adaptive Gain Technology) creates one of the world’s most reliable level devices available.”
Hawk has engineered the product to be compatible with HART, GOSHAWK, MODBUS, Profibus, and Fieldbus. There are a wide range of transducers to choose from, making the Sultan Series very versatile.
