Some of the biggest names in mining will offer insight into global mining intelligence and innovation at the world’s first asset optimisation conference in Milwaukee, USA, later this year. The 2010 Surface Mining Asset Optimisation Conference – Adding Real Value will showcase mining intelligence, provide up-to-date information on what is possible and explain what suppliers around the world are doing to add real value to mining operations.
Conference spokesperson Graham Lumley said the November conference aimed to equip attendees with the tools they need to increase their mine’s profitability. “This conference offers attendees an international advantage, providing them with the knowledge to add real value to their operations. Every decision a mine makes is an opportunity to add real value and regardless of whether it is about a dragline, bucket, shovel dipper, truck body, or choosing the right person for a job, mines need to look for new ways to add value.”
The conference will include presentations on its revolutionary truck tray design from platinum sponsor Duratray. Australian mining intelligence company GBI will be presenting the latest information on what mining equipment is achieving around the world. International Mining is the international media sponsor.
Other international presenters already lined up include Caterpillar, Bucyrus, P&H, GBI, Mineware, Leica and Modular Mining showcasing how adding value has achieved significant results and profitability. Each presenter will focus on actual results and how to achieve them.
Milwaukee has been chosen as the conference venue to allow visits to Bucyrus, P&H and Cat facilities. It is of course also one of the most important mining equipment cities in the world (IM, December 2008).
