FLSmidth to supply complete gold processing plant to Polyus Gold subsidiary

Posted on 4 Jun 2010

FLSmidth has received a contract worth around €30 million from Polyus Gold subsidiary, Pervenets for the supply of equipment to its ‘brownfield’ Verninskoye gold plant. The plant, which will have a capacity of 278 t/h of gold, will be located in the Irkutsk region of Russia. The contract includes supply of all the process equipment and technology and will cover all the main plant areas, excluding crushing and grinding.

“Russia is a well-known market to FLSmidth and we have a strong local presence in the country. We believe that Russia holds a large future potential – and within minerals, gold and copper are particularly interesting. This order for a complete gold processing plant illustrates our ability to serve as a single-source supplier to the mineral’s processing industries,” Group CEO JÝrgen Huno Rasmussen comments.

The plant is scheduled for start-up in the third quarter of 2011.
