At a joint event at the Auguste Victoria (AV) colliery in Marl organised by operator RAG Deutsche Steinkohle AG, along with RAG Mining Solutions GmbH and a South German plant construction company, international customers recently took the opportunity over three days to ask questions about the process and effectiveness of the pilot plant. The Surface Equipment sales department of RAG Mining Solutions also presented a portfolio of used machinery and plant equipment from the closed Saar and West collieries together with the extensive service portfolio of the company.
The guests from companies and institutions in the material preparation industry were able to view the entire process route of the coal at the AV colliery and the pilot plant. RAG Mining Solutions stated that “they were particularly impressed by the low residual moisture of the obtained product, which they could even feel in the end product. With the new process, the residual moisture of the coal flotation is reduced from 23% to 9%.”
In mid-August Professor Dr Martin Junker, CEO of RAG Mining Solutions, together with Roland Hecken, Head of Services Electrical Engineering and Managing Director of the subsidiary RAG Mining Technology (Beijing) Co Ltd, visited political representatives from Mongolia in Berlin in mid-August 2014. They met with Mongolia’s Vice Prime Minister Dendev Terbishdagva and the Ambassador Tsolmon Bolor. The Mongolian Economic Advisor Davaakhuu Battur and attachée to the Mongolian embassy Enkhsaikhan Tseden-Ish also took part in the talks. The visit was mainly about collaborating together in future on mining topics from training the required skilled labour to planning specific projects. The marketing of industrial plants and power plants was also discussed in depth.
