Posted on 4 Nov 2010

This event, May 10-12, 2011 at Penn State University will discuss achieving lasting improvements in safety, production and cost control. Have you ever said, “I wish I would have known…” or “Nobody would ever believe…” after dealing with a complicated issue in mining processing and transportation? Now is your chance to turn your experience into a presentation at the 2011 Summit on Mining Performance. The Summit’s focus is on the application of continuous improvement methods and success stories – from the face of the mine, to the mill, to the end user. As a presenter, you’ll be able to share your knowledge, network with colleagues, and increase your organisation’s visibility in the field. The organisers are now accepting proposals. The presentations will address the practical improvements of any part of mining processing and transportation, organized into the following topics:

  • Cost containment
  • Implementation success stories
  • Supply chain: energy, fuel, and materials management
  • Maintenance and reliability
  • Processing
  • General business improvement
